Amanda likes to spend her time riding her bike around beautiful Chicago, while listening to Zoe Keating on her iPod, drinking a glass of red wine on her porch, talking to her cat Kevin, and laughing at her boyfriend Dan.
Dance was Amanda's first word. Okay, not really. "Ball" was, but dance was her first love. It gave her back what she put into it, which is why she is here today.
Born and raised in Nashville, TN, she trained at the School of Nashville Ballet and also with the Centennial Youth Ballet. When a career as a "bunhead" no longer seemed appealing, modern dance entered her life.
To pursue her curiosity of dance, she moved to Chicago where she graduated from Columbia College in 2006. This curiosity also opened doors in New York and to the world of dance film, where she explored the process of collaboration with artists from other mediums.
She has since returned to Chicago, making this her third season dancing with The Seldoms.
