Whiff of Anarchy (2009)
Whiff of Anarchy, choreographed by Darrell Jones, is a piece about the collisions and consensus of people, cultures and ideologies. The piece attempts to break from the traditional ideology of riot as an ethnic male phenomenon and investigate physically this unrestrained energy from a multitude of vantage points. An embodiment of protest, riot is explored as an ephemeral underground movement culture with it own set of rules, protocols and individual and collective improvisations.
